Older Toddler Program Summary

Our Older Toddler Program builds upon and expands the Young Toddler program.  Children's days are a bit more structured, as is appropriate for their age.  Children's circle time is expanded and they are introduced to more art projects (we do not use glue, glitter or children's scissors in our young toddler room).   

The Older Toddler Room is sized to allow for 16 Older Toddlers, however we only accept 12 Older Toddlers into our program.

Parent Comments on our Older Toddler Program

A parent who had joined our center when her son was two, "warned" us that she was a very picky parent, who was very open when she had issues with the care provided.  In the first week we heard nothing from her.  During the second week we approached her to see how things were going.  She said good, so far.  In the following weeks we heard cautious positive comments from her.  After her son was at the center for a few months, she stopped by the office to say that she is astonished at the difference in the quality of care at our center!  She stated that before she use to take work home and refuse work to shorten her son's day at child care.  Now she is comfortable working knowing that her son is happy, well cared for, learning, and growing.  Home is now for family time, not battling with her son to allow her the time to complete work.  She added that she is very happy with the educational growth she sees, as her son is coming home with new skills and an ever-expanding language base.  

Older Toddler Room Schedule

  * Classes may be combined during this period of time based on number of children in attendance during this time period.  If classes are combined the staff to child ratio of the youngest child will apply to the entire group. 

  **Notes on Outside Play:
Ø      Outside Play is weather permitting.
Ø      Outside Play schedule may be adjusted between the rooms to account for age of the children and circle time / art project activities. 
Ø      Our goal is to ensure children are outside twice a day, weather permitting.

Note: This is our spring/fall schedule.  We adjust the activity time in the summer to take advantage of the cooler hours (i.e. morning outside play is earlier) for outdoor play.  In the winter, we take the children outside if the weather permits, otherwise we arrange for larger motor activities indoors.

Older Toddler Fee Schedule

All Fees include am and pm snacks and milk.  
At LEAST 1 caregiver for every 6 Older Toddlers.

** Full time tuition includes bi-weekly Lil Sports on site Gym Class. Part time children scheduled to be in school during the class pay $2.00 extra per week and Drop in Children here on the day of class pay $4.00 for the class.  For Kid's Sake pays the balance of the class fee.  

Sibling Discounts

We offer a 12% discount for the 2^nd child in care.  We offer a 15% discount for all subsequent children.  The discount is off older child’s tuition.

Vacation Policy

- You may take up to unpaid two weeks per year (September to September). 

- Your child must be absent from care for the full week. 
- We must be given at least two weeks advance notice.
- Your account must be current.
- We cannot offer this discount to subsidy families, by county regulations.

Chat Sheets:

Each day your child is at the center our staff will complete a "chat sheet" to help you keep in touch with your child's activities.  The chat sheet contains information about what and when your child ate, diapering, naps, mood, and a summary of his/her individual activities and accomplishments.

Additional Information:

You are welcome to call and schedule a visit, or just drop by and see the center.  If you drop by, please plan a few extra minutes in case our director is unable to immediately provide a tour.  Sandi, the director, is usually in from 9:00am until 5:00pm.  Come see the difference!
